Some products and services offered by Josephine Flower Farm may be sold as seasonal subscriptions, pre-orders or bookings that require a deposit. This policy explains when these purchases may be changed or cancelled.
Product-specific terms shown on the applicable product page, ticket page, proposal or signed agreement also apply. Where those terms differ from this general policy, the product-specific terms or signed agreement will govern.
When you purchase a flower subscription or seasonal share, you are purchasing a fixed number of bouquets for the schedule, frequency, size and pickup location selected at checkout.
Subscriptions and seasonal shares are paid in advance and do not automatically renew at the end of the selected term.
Because flowers, growing space, harvest quantities and pickup arrangements are planned in advance, subscriptions and seasonal shares are generally non-refundable once the first scheduled bouquet period has begun.
Cancellation requests received before the first scheduled bouquet may be eligible for a refund, less:
any non-refundable processing fees;
the value of any flowers or products already provided;
costs already incurred specifically for the order; and
any cancellation charge disclosed on the product page.
Requests to change a pickup date, frequency, bouquet size or pickup location are subject to availability and must be made within the notice period stated on the product page.
Missed pickups are not refundable or automatically replaced. Where permitted, another person may collect the bouquet on the subscriber’s behalf.
Please see the applicable subscription product page and our Refund and Returns Policy for additional details.
A pre-order allows you to reserve a product before it is ready for pickup, shipping or general sale.
Depending on the product, we may collect:
full payment at checkout;
a partial payment or deposit; or
payment at a later date before fulfilment.
The product page will state the expected processing or availability period and any applicable payment schedule.
A pre-order may be cancelled before production, harvesting, personalization or fulfilment has begun, unless the product page states that it is non-refundable.
Once we have begun preparing the order, reserved materials, harvested flowers, completed personalization or transferred the order for shipping or pickup, cancellation may no longer be possible.
Personalized, made-to-order, perishable and event-date-specific pre-orders are generally final sale once work has begun.
Where a pre-order is eligible for cancellation, any refund may be reduced by:
a disclosed non-refundable deposit;
payment-processing charges where permitted;
materials purchased specifically for the order;
work already completed; and
any other non-recoverable costs reasonably incurred.
If Josephine Flower Farm is unable to fulfil a pre-order, you will be offered an appropriate substitution, store credit or refund.
Please see the applicable product page and our Refund and Returns Policy for further information.
A deposit may be required to reserve a date, product, service, rental item or production capacity.
Deposits may apply to:
wedding and event floral services;
private events and farm rentals;
photography sessions;
workshops;
large bulk-flower orders;
custom or personalized products;
rental items; and
other special orders.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, a date or service is not reserved until the required agreement has been completed and the deposit has been received.
Deposits are generally non-refundable because they compensate Josephine Flower Farm for reserving the date or inventory, declining other bookings, beginning planning and design work, purchasing materials and allocating staffing or production capacity.
The amount of the deposit, payment schedule, cancellation terms and any remaining balance will be stated on the applicable product page, proposal, invoice or agreement.
A deposit may be transferable to a rescheduled date only where:
the applicable agreement permits a transfer;
sufficient notice is provided;
the new date is available;
the service can reasonably be rescheduled; and
any applicable rescheduling fees or increased costs are paid.
Deposits cannot automatically be transferred to another product, service, person or event unless Josephine Flower Farm agrees in writing.
If Josephine Flower Farm cancels a booking and cannot provide a reasonable alternative, amounts paid for the cancelled service will be refunded in accordance with the applicable agreement and consumer-protection law.
Tickets and registrations are generally non-refundable because attendance is limited and flowers, materials and staffing are planned in advance.
Where stated on the applicable ticket page, tickets may be transferred to another person or moved once to another available date when sufficient notice is provided.
Customer cancellations caused by scheduling conflicts, illness, travel delays or ordinary weather conditions do not automatically qualify for a refund.
If Josephine Flower Farm cancels an experience because of unsafe weather, crop conditions or another circumstance that prevents us from operating safely, affected guests will be offered the remedy stated on the ticket page. This may include rescheduling, account credit or a refund.
Wedding florals, event florals, private rentals, photography sessions and larger rental orders are governed by their applicable proposal, invoice or signed agreement.
These agreements may include specific terms for:
deposits;
payment deadlines;
cancellations;
postponements;
rescheduling;
reductions in scope;
event-date changes;
rental damage;
travel or delivery charges; and
circumstances beyond either party’s reasonable control.
Where a signed agreement conflicts with this general Cancellation Policy, the signed agreement will govern.
To request a cancellation or change, contact us as soon as possible at: sheryl@josephinefarm.ca
Please include:
your full name;
order or booking number;
event or pickup date;
the product or service purchased; and
the change or cancellation being requested.
A request is not confirmed until Josephine Flower Farm has responded in writing.
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
Processing times vary by payment provider and financial institution. Shipping charges, completed services, personalized work, perishable products and non-refundable deposits are not refunded unless required by law or expressly agreed in writing.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies available under applicable consumer-protection law.
